Binance Launches a New Fan Token Project
Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in terms of trading volume, is preparing to offer another new option to its customers. Binance has released a new upgrade for its fan token platform, which focuses on helping sports teams interact with their fans by offering various benefits to token holders.
Interactive Fan Token Project
Binance has introduced another “innovation” for fan token enthusiasts. Binance said in a statement that the exchange’s fan club program now allows fans to earn points that can be redeemed for various rewards, including tickets to games, access to video clips of their favorite players and exclusive meals with athletes.
Members can also earn points by participating in other fan club activities, such as taking surveys or completing other simple tasks. According to the statement, fans will have access to better rewards the more they participate.
Lisa He, head of Binance NFT and Fan Token, made some statements on this topic. She suggested that fan tokens are the future of the fan community. The CEO also stated that attendees will have the opportunity to dine with their favorite players.
Fan tokens allow fans to strengthen their bond with their favorite club by giving them access to exclusive events and the ability to vote on club decisions.
According to Binance, the platform has been extremely successful. It has also enabled teams such as Santos FC, Porto and Lazio to communicate with tens of thousands of users of the platform.
Binance is Turning Over a New Leaf
Binance is not only a cryptocurrency exchange, but also focuses on non-fungible tokens and fan tokens. The exchange is also constantly trying to connect the sports and web3 sectors. On June 23, 2022, Binance partnered with world-famous soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, allowing Ronaldo to interact with his followers via NFTs.
In July 2022, after the fiasco caused by counterfeit tickets in the UEFA Champions League, Binance developed a new innovation: NFT tickets. Binance partnered with Società Sportiva Lazio to use NFT tickets for the club’s home games at the Stadio Olimpico.
